CONDO - DIVIDED VS UNDIVIDED

In divided co-ownership, the co-owners have the rights to their respective units and exercise their rights in common over the common areas. In undivided co-ownership, the co-owners exercise in common the ownership of the whole building, but have a right of use on certain parts. Condo building

COTTAGE, OR MULTI-STOREY HOUSE

A house in which the private areas (bedrooms) are usually on the second floor and the common areas are on the first floor.

Cottage

DUPLEX

Duplex

FARMHOUSE

A small farm used for the non-commercial raising of medium-sized animals, with a single-family dwelling.

ATTACHED, SEMI-DETACHED

A single-family dwelling that has a single party wall with another single-family dwelling, which has the same architecture and façade (there are just 2 houses stuck together).

Semi-detached

TOWNHOUSE, ROW HOUSE

FURNISHED

Includes all furniture, bedding, kitchen accessories. Tenant only has to bring their own bags!

PLEX

Building in which there are several housing units. 2 or more. Quick links: plex for sale in Montrealplex for rent in Montreal
Plex building

SEMI-FURNISHED

Includes the 4 basic appliances: washer/dryer, refrigerator and oven. Sometimes it can include the 5th appliance, the dishwasher.

SHOEBOX

Small house with a flat roof that characterizes it. It has only one floor and a door located in the center of the facade, with a window on each side.

SPLIT LEVEL, MULTI-STOREY HOUSE

A single-family home in which the floor levels are staggered, so that the different levels are spaced by a few or even several steps, but not necessarily by a full floor.

TRIPLEX
